Personal data that we process
NJON takes your privacy very seriously and collects as little personal or anonymised data as possible. By only collecting the information that we need for the functioning of the websites and for the provision of our services and, where necessary, by asking consent for the personal data that we store, we satisfy the guidelines stated in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We place cookies as soon as you visit our websites. You can find more information about cookies on our websites later in this statement under the heading “Cookies”.
We collect personal data as soon as you make use of the services that we offer via our websites, such as registering or purchasing tickets for a concert or event, but we also collect personal data when you register for an audition or newsletter. We take care not to collect more information than necessary. When using the services we provide via our websites, we ask you to agree to the terms and conditions that apply to the service(s) concerned. These terms and conditions contain all information about the use of personal data for the service that we provide to you. If you are below the age of 16, then you should ask permission from your parents before you use our websites and services.
Protection of your data
NJON takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification of your data. We also ensure that communication between our websites and other systems (for example our ticketing and payment systems and the database of orchestra members) takes place securely.
Sharing of personal data with third parties
NJON only provides data to third parties if that is necessary for realising our agreement with you (for example supplying data to Yourticketprovider for the processing of your ticket) or to comply with a statutory obligation. With both the manager of our websites Content Management System (CMS), Ylab, and the organisation responsible for our ticketing, Yourticketprovider, we have concluded a processing agreement which guarantees that the personal data we need for the selling of tickets, for example, do not end up with any party other than NJON, and that these data are not used for any purpose other than the purchase and processing of tickets.
Viewing, modifying or removing data
You have the right to view your personal data, to modify these or to have these removed. You also have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by NJON. In addition, you have the right to submit a request to us to ask to view your personal data stored by us. To ensure that the request for viewing your data has been submitted by you, we kindly ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. However, to protect your privacy, you should black out the passport photo, the MRZ (machine readable zone, the line with numbers at the bottom of the passport), the passport number and citizens service number (BSN). We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but in any case within four weeks. We also refer you to the possibility of submitting a complaint to the national regulator, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. You can do that via this link (page only accessible in Dutch).
Functional and analytical cookies
We place functional cookies to ensure that our websites work properly and to remember the preferred settings of visitors. As soon as you start purchasing a ticket for one of the concerts mentioned on our webpages, we place functional cookies to ensure that the concerts you mark as favourite and concerts that you place in the shopping basket remain there until you leave the website concerned or have paid at the checkout. The information that we acquire in this manner is anonymous and does not affect your privacy. Therefore we do not ask permission for the placing of these cookies.
We place analytical cookies, for example, to see which pages are visited most, which browser you use and whether there are any error messages. This information allows us to improve our websites. We cannot see who visits our websites or from which computer the visit takes place, and we share as little of this information as possible with Google. To this end, we have signed a processing agreement with Google. How Google uses data when you visit our websites is detailed here.
You can change the settings of your Internet browser to ensure that this no longer stores cookies. Furthermore, you can also delete all information previously stored via the settings of your browser.
We place tracking cookies for our marketing. These tracking cookies make it possible for us to test the effectiveness of our online advertisements, but also to ensure that if you have visited one or more of our websites, you will see advertisements for NJON concerts more often. We mainly advertise via Google Ads, websites of partners and Facebook. Via Google Analytics and Facebook, we then examine how we reach our public online. With this approach we can determine, in an anonymised manner, which forms of advertising are effective for us. Google and Facebook link information from your IP address to age, gender, region and interests and link that information anonymously to your visit to our websites. As soon as you visit our websites, we ask permission for these tracking cookies. You can find out what data Google Analytics processes here. And the information that Google Ads processes can be found here. You can find out how Facebook advertisements work here.
