Audition information

Application for auditions for Jong Metropole 2024 (for both summer and autumn tour) is possible until January 26 2024. The auditions for 2024 will take place on 26/27/28 and 29 February 2024 at the Muziekcentrum van de Omroep Hilversum. 

Orchestra excerpts 2024 on this site still subject to change. Musicians who have applied for auditions participate in the full programme for a year, i.e. for the Summer and Autumn Tour.

General information

Auditions for Jong Metropole are (if circumstances permit) held once a year at a location in the Netherlands. Based on these auditions, the organisation assembles the orchestra and chooses the programme for the full season, consisting of a Summer Tour and Autumn Tour. Musicians who would like to audition for a position in Jong Metropole should register first via our Application portal. All students meeting the conditions (see Audition and musicians) can apply.

Good to know

All auditions for Jong Metropole are being recorded on film to facilitate consultation between jury members or to compare auditions of different candidates while discussing the audition results. Recordings are only kept for this purpose and are not shared with third parties or made public. It is possible for candidates to request a recording afterwards, once the results have been announced.
